about me

Howdy! I'm Eric Alexander Rose, but you can call me Alex. I'm a programmer and student at Texas A&M. I help make and design video games! Right now I'm working for Alula Learning, an educational game development studio as a game developer, and on my own Indie Projects just for fun.

I'm also an occasional speedrunner, real life distance runner, Eagle Scout, and happen to co-hold the record for most knock knock jokes told in one minute alongside my twin sister. I want to work in the game development industry, I have a passion for design and creative projects that explore niche uses and interesting mechanics. I'd love to be a part of your project in the future.

During my time in college I entered many game jams, and even won a few! To help support my local community of developers I helped run TAGD(The Texas Aggie Game Developers) for three years, and was a member for four! I ran community events as social coordinater, and overall group operations as the Vice President. As the local chapter of the IGDA I was extremely grateful for the opportunity to help others find the resources they needed on their own journey as developers. I also learned quite a bit, even while I was teaching!

In addition to self organizing in the field of game development and design, I've also had my fair share of experience as a software consultant, web developer, and professional design. Check out some of my previous positions below!
